Working Out With The Green (and pink) Goddess

A quick follow-up on Gülay and her exercise machine. Apart from any small mods that may crop up to make things better with the ‘scrap heap’, the ball is now well and truly with my chum Ahmet and his  technocrats and engineers in Istanbul. It seems that if we need any backing, whether technical or financial we can turn to the TÜBITAK – the Scientific and Technical Research Council of Turkey. I find that amazing, but Ahmet knows about these things and has the contacts and skills to pull this off.

Down here in Okçular we have the hard job of waiting it all out. Meanwhile, Gülay gets to build her muscles, pump a bit of blood and model her fancy, spotted green ‘pantalons’ and lurid pink top – enjoy!

ps we fixed the chain rattle!

  1. Brilliant I’m glad you managed to fix the chain rattle I was going to say would a drop of oil
    do it !!!!!!!!!

  2. Alan, Really, what a wonderful difference you’ve made in Gülay’s life with that machine. It’s just a terrific invention. (And fixing the chain rattle was important.) The video looked great, too. Carry on!

    1. she was amazed to see her legs moving around – her smile was just wonderful – and Şerife’s too!

  3. Wow, we know some talented people! 🙂 So great for Gülay. Sorry we didn’t get to see you at the fayre in Çalış by the way. I can’t even remember where we were, but wherever it was, we couldn’t make it. Hope it went well.

    1. Awww, shucks, guys! The fayre was down on total numbers by about 2/3rds – all the stall-holders we spoke to said the same – many were very disappointed.

    1. Ahmet emailed when he saw the video – couldn’t believe how smoothly it works. That’s an engineer for you! 🙂

  4. Wow! Alan that is amazing.
From when you showed me the pictures of what you were planning, to this is amazing.
Well done, I am sure Gulay is really appreciating what you are all doing to help her.

    1. I’m impatient now for the project to really get moving through design and development and into production.
